Everyday Heroes: Sandy Hart’s devotion to ‘true heroes’ evident in military museum

Sandy Hart raised money, accompanied a large group (815 in all, including 517 World War II veterans) to Washington, D.C., and opened the Kentucky Veteran and Patriot’s Museum, received the Patriot Award, given to a non-veteran for their support of veterans and veteran’s issues. Hart’s father was a WWII veteran, and she was presented the award by Gene Edwards, on behalf of the Veteran’s Day Committee. She accepted the award in honor of veterans.
